Software engineer and product designer. I build interfaces the way I read a route — slowly, from the ground, checking every foothold before the next.

About

01 / 04

I grew up between Kathmandu and the hills above it, which is probably why I think of every product the same way I think of a trail — there's a shortest path, and there's the path people actually take.

For the last several years I've worked across the stack: shipping backend systems that hold up under load, and interfaces that hold up under real use. I care less about the tool and more about whether the thing gets easier to use every time someone touches it.

Outside of work I'm usually reading maps I have no immediate plan for, or rebuilding something that already worked, just to see if it can work better.
